I didn’t start this business to sell centerpieces. I started it because I never wanted another mother to miss the moments I did.
I’m Jessica Lee, and I believe every couple deserves to have their dream wedding— without sacrificing their sanity.
In 2020, my daughter was getting married. She was living across the country, COVID had just upended everything, and the planning landed mostly on me. At the time, there was nowhere in Central Kentucky that focused on the details that actually make a wedding feel personal — the centerpieces, the backdrops, the small things that transform a room. So I drove all over the state finding pieces myself. I had things custom made. By the time the wedding arrived, an entire room in my house and part of my garage were full of decor.
What surprised me was that I loved it. Pulling all the decor together, watching the vision become something real — that part never felt like work. So, I started small: a Facebook page, a Marketplace listing, just to see if anyone else needed the same thing I did. I'm Jessica Lee, and that small test turned into Rustic and More. In our first year, we served 35 couples. In the second, 101. That's when I knew it was real.
We opened our showroom here in Frankfort, Ky in early 2023. There is always MORE to see in person.
Our Philosphy
Here's the truth behind everything I do: at my own daughter's wedding, I had hired a coordinator, and I still ended up doing nearly all of the work myself. I was troubleshooting problems while everyone else was getting ready. I missed spending time with her and her bridal party. I wasn't even dressed when it was time to help my daughter into her gown. I hate the photos from that moment.
I never want that to be someone else's story. I treat every couple's wedding like I'm planning my own daughter's all over again — because that's exactly what it feels like to me, every time.
The Process of Caring
When you work with me, you're not a date on a calendar. I ask about your dog, your grandmother, the story of how you met — not because it's good business, but because the work is better when I actually know you. I show up prepared, I tell you the truth even when it's not what you were hoping to hear, and I hold the boundaries that let me do this well for every couple I serve, including you. You should never have to wonder where you stand with me.
Getting to know the owner.
I'm a mother of one daughter and two sons, and I treat every couple's wedding the way I wish someone had treated my own daughter's.
I ran Rustic and More almost entirely on my own for five years before hiring my first employee. I still call that hire a God-send. I don’t do this alone anymore and I”m grateful for it.
I've helped a bride whose venue burned down two weeks before her wedding. We figured it out anyway.
Building the Rustic and More website myself is, in my own words, "a whole story." Ask me sometime.
I've never stopped needing a creative outlet, and after almost 6 years in, weddings have never once run out of ways to give me one.
The Proof
I've been doing this since December 2020 — five-plus years, 721+ weddings served, and counting.
I added Day of Coordination in 2023, the same year I opened my Frankfort showroom. In 2023, I was also named Local Business Person of the Year through Alignable.
Today, we hold a 4.9 star average across Google, The Knot, and WeddingWire.
None of that happened because I set out to build a brand. It happened because I kept saying yes to couples who needed exactly what I'd once needed myself.
